A Tribute to the Streets - Ceramic Vase
This piece is a tribute to my early days painting murals on the street — a time when walls weren’t just surfaces, but collaborators. Out there, I learned to respect the material, to let the wall breathe, to allow its texture and imperfections to become part of the work.
Wheel thrown in speckled beige stoneware and painted with underglazes and a slip rich in iron, this vase carries that memory. The raw energy of those first murals, the rhythm of the street, and the dialogue between paint and surface all live within its form.
🧱 Material: Speckled beige stoneware
🎨 Surface: Painted with high-iron clay slip
🖐️ Technique: Wheel thrown and hand-painted
📏 Dimensions: 20 cm tall
🌍 Made in: Barcelona, Spain
✨ Inspiration: Early street murals and the poetry of raw surfaces
This vase isn’t just an object — it’s a story about learning to listen to the wall, and letting it speak back.
